Scoring Standard


 

Appearance account for 15% in the pastry shop desserts category.

The selection will be based on the color matching of the dessert, the consistency of the shape, the size, and styling from the images and videos you have provided.

Taste account for 20% in the pastry shop desserts category.

Selected according to the richness and harmony of the dessert taste and the taste of other desserts.

Ingredients account for 20% in the pastry shop desserts category.

The ingredients used in making desserts must contain natural, non-additive ingredients. Please provide proof that can be referenced. (certified by the AA Association)

Innovation account for 15% in the pastry shop desserts category.

Innovative methods and combinations for making desserts will affect the freshness and favorability of consumers. The contents of the recipes or methods you provide will be given to the reviewers for reference.

 

Presentation account for 10% in the pastry shop desserts category.

Plating is one of the essences of afternoon tea, pleasant plating can make the entire dining process more enjoyable.

Hygiene account for 10% in the pastry shop desserts category.

The hygienic environment of a food store can be seen in the details of the store, and the experience of these details can be felt by the consumers.

Atmosphere account for 10% in the pastry shop desserts category.

The environment, atmosphere, and characteristics that consumers are situated in are important. Stores that are distinctive with good atmospheres can affect consumers’ staying time and willingness to visit the store.

 
  • Stores that mainly sell pastries and desserts, in addition to providing take-out services, the store can also provide store seats for customers to enjoy desserts.

  • The dining environment can be combined with the desserts sold to give customers unique dining experiences, achieving the complementary visual, olfactory, and gustatory enjoyment which is just as important to the experience and sensations within the restaurant, and the independent store also has a high-quality texture.

  Eligibility

  • Can prove that your pastry shop complies with any hygiene and management certification (ISO 90001, ISO14001, ISO22000, HACCP... etc. You must provide relevant certifications)

  • On-record stores that have passed government registration (you must provide relevant certifications)

  • Your Pastry Shop has seats to provide services

  • Meets the aforementioned requirements or is nominated by the GSA committee

 

Selection process & Notice

To register for the Pastry Shop Dessert Quality Award, please fill in the application form for the Pastry Shop dessert category and attach all of the necessary information with the application form. After the registration, materials have been collected and all materials are qualified, the GSA committee will have a professional reviewer visit in person in the form of a commissioner to produce a comprehensive evaluation.

Applicant Status

Dessert shops provide seats for consumers to enjoy desserts, and stores that focus on the store environment are eligible for the independent store dessert quality award.
