Roy Fares

Lebanese

Pastry chef, writer, TV presenter, entrepreneur, designer... Roy Fares has many bowstrings. His success is due to the combination of enthusiasm and entrepreneurship, but also to the weakness of all the good things in life.

Roy Fares came to Sweden when he was six years old. His family fled the civil war in Lebanon and started a new life in Orebro in 1990. Roy is from Lebanon and has a strong food culture. Dinner with family and relatives is part of daily life, and food is always the focus of everyone. Likewise, Roy today wants to be a way to interact with relatives.

Roy’s baking talent had already been noticed in his teenage years. In the same year he received his apprenticeship letter, he participated in the Swedish Championship for Young Bakers and won the championship. Considering his competitive ability, this is not surprising. After winning the gold medal, he won the bronze medal in the European Young Bakers Championship, which in turn led him to work at Tössebageriet, a famous bakery in Stockholm. In 2010, he was crowned as Swedish Pastry Chef of the Year.

Since a major breakthrough in 2010, Roy has become one of Sweden’s most popular and popular pastry chefs. He is the author of several best-selling recipe books, which are published in multiple languages. His first book “Sweet!” came out in 2012 and won Måltidakademin’s dessert award.

Similarly, his two books “American Cakes” and “New York"‘s Best Attractions” were named the world’s best cookbooks in the “American Food” category in the 2014 and 2017 Gourmet World Cookery Awards respectively. Between these two, he released the best-selling books “Delicious” and “Cake Hero.”
